YOU WANT an agent who KNOWS the area YOU are moving to, and now that YOU have found my sight, I think that you will see that I know my town and I know MY market. Many of my clients say that I "mama" them throughout the process because I do my best to take as much stress off my clients as I can.  I handle most of the details involved in the transaction, and getting the job done right is important to me.  Most of my clients and I develop lasting friendships. That one helps you to know what the buyer's inspector will find. It will also help buyers to know that my sellers are disclosing all they know about their house. Nobody likes bad surprises, so my "Smart Move" eliminates a lot of headaches.

Does Kay Have a Life beyond Real Estate?

I love my job, but when I am not selling real estate I enjoy my family very much! I have been married to my husband, Bill, who was also my high school sweetheart, for nearly  40 years. We are best friends and love spending time with each other. He is wonderful and brings out the best in me!

We were blessed with one child - a son, Joel, who is a pastor. He is married to Kimberly, a real Southern Belle from Birmingham, Alabama. They graduated from the University of NC at Wilmington, where they met, and Joel also graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Va. He recently received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary. Kimberly is a computer and math whiz and loves to play soccer . I have two grandchildren, a granddaughter born at Thanksgiving and a grandson born on my birthday. I love being Nana!

Bill and I also have a heart for Border Collies.  We rescued Abby in September of 2002, and she has become our baby.  She is a beauty and has made it her job in life to look after me.  What a love!

Bill and I are pretty politically active.  He is past party chairman in Rowan County.  We work with numerous countywide efforts-Rotary Club, United Way, Livingstone College, and church activities are very important to us.  We've taught Bible studies for years and especially like working with young adults.
